Cph Lighting launches Nola. A new collection of lamps designed by Morten Flensted. Nola combines Elegance and beautiful Design with Functionality and the good Light.

The Nola collection by Morten Flensted is a family of three: A table lamp, a wall lamp and a pendant who share the same elegant and organic lamp shade combined with a slim rod. They exude understated elegance and grace and will add style and class to any décor.

The Nola collection is made from genuine and strong materials. The lamp shade is made of aluminum with the use of classic metal spinning techniques. Stem and foot base are made of steel. Nola lamps are available in white or black with complementing details in raw brushed brass.

Nola lamps use 230V-GU10 LED light bulbs. Available in countless options of lumen, beam and colour making it easy to meet the location’s specific lighting requirements.

At Cph Lighting, the goal is to produce long-lasting, no-frill lighting with equal emphasis on visuals, functionality and good light. This is exactly what the Nola lamps do – and make them perfect for use in both private and public interiors.

The Nola collection is manufactured in Denmark.

The Nola collection will be ready for delivery from beginning September 2024.

Nola Table
With its slim design and small base Nola Table lamp is perfect as task light on night tables or work desks or as a decorative light source on a sideboard, book case or in the window sill. The lamp shade is mounted with a flexible joint for easy adjustment of the light direction. The on/off switch is positioned on the base.

Nola Wall
Nola Wall is perfect as a bedside lamp or reading lamp behind a sofa, at home and in hotels. The light direction can be easily adjusted thanks to the flexible lamp shade. The on/off switch is positioned within reach on the wall base.

Nola Pendant
Nola Pendant is small and slender, offering good directional light without blocking the view. Perfect above tables and counters.

Morten Flensted
Industrial Designer with many Talents and an Eye for Details.
Morten Flensted lives in Aarhus and has a degree in Industrial Design from Kolding School of Design. Morten Flensted also has a background as an electrician and electronics technician. These qualifications, combined with Morten’s keen eye for detail, is a big advantage in his work with lighting design where one of the main challenges is to combine technical requirements and with an inviting visual expression. Morten Flensted’s designs include furniture, lamps, hi-fi products and electronic control systems. Lamp designs for Cph Lighting: Peak and Nola.

Morten Flensted about Nola:

”My aim was to create an honest, minimalistic and functional lamp collection in high quality and with an appealing look.
In addition, I wanted to create a product family with many applications and the possibility of expansion with more members”.

Nola at Hotel Kong Arthur

The story of the Nola lamp originally started in 2018, when Nola was shown for the first time at the Stockholm Furniture Fair. Until now, it has been available as a bespoke armature used at Hotel Kong Arthur in Copenhagen.
Since 2019 the historic 4-star hotel by the Lakes in Copenhagen has undergone extensive renovation and expansion with new rooms. The rooms’ decor is inspired by the beautiful, classic Copenhagen apartments found in the neighborhood around the hotel. Wall panels are a consistent element in the rooms’ interior design. Nola lamps mounted on the panels are installed by the beds and desks in all of the hotel’s 214 rooms.
